I bring 27 years of dedicated experience in Health and Social Care to my role at Kingsley Healthcare’s Yaxley House. Throughout an accomplished career, I have developed deep expertise across multiple care environments, including extensive work in specialized Dementia care and hands-on experience in home care and domiciliary provision. My clinical background also includes serving in the oncology and haematology departments at West Suffolk Hospital, providing high-quality, specialized support to patients during critical times. A firm believer in compassionate leadership, I champion a strong person-centred and relationship-focused approach to care provision. I am deeply committed to ensuring that every resident receives dignified, individualised support while fostering a warm, connected community for families and staff alike. I am incredibly excited for the future at Yaxley House, where I look forward to driving excellence in care and building meaningful relationships with residents and their loved ones.

Genevieve Cousens

Deputy Manager

I am a dedicated Deputy with over 12 years of experience in health and social care. Throughout my career, I have developed a strong passion for supporting individuals and ensuring high standards of care are consistently delivered. I take pride in being compassionate, approachable, and committed to making a positive difference in the lives of those I support, as well as leading and supporting my team. Outside of work, I enjoy running as a way to stay active and unwind, and I am a proud owner of five cats who certainly keep me busy at home.

Carol McGeever

Activities and Lifestyle Coordinator

I am a caring and compassionate individual who brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to my role as Activities Coordinator at Yaxley House. I have supported Adults with Learning Difficulties, organising meaningful and person centred activities and holidays. I am very committed to providing dignified care for those who need support in order to lead their best life remaining as independent as possible for as long as possible. Away from work I am a proud mum to three boys, and nine grandchildren, who along with my garden and my dog keep me very busy. I love making people happy and I am excited to be part of the Yaxley Team.

Joshua Lincoln

Head Chef

I am a dedicated and passionate culinary professional with extensive experience across both hospitality and care environments. Having worked at Delia Smith’s Restaurant as well as being an experienced qualified Food Preparation and Nutrition Teacher, I have developed a strong foundation in high-quality cuisine and professional kitchen standards. I have worked as Head Chef in a variety of residential and nursing care homes, where I combine my culinary expertise with a genuine commitment to resident wellbeing. I take particular pride in creating delicious, nutritious meals that cater to diverse dietary needs, with a special love for vegetarian cuisine and crafting extravagant cakes. I am driven by the joy of seeing residents happy, engaged, and truly enjoying the food he prepares. With high ambitions and a meticulous approach to cleanliness, food safety, and presentation, I strive to consistently uphold excellent standards in every kitchen I lead. I am really excited to be part of the Yaxley House team.

Suzanne Hamilton

Operations manager

I began my career in care in 1995 as a care worker and quickly discovered my passion for supporting others. Through dedication and experience across a range of roles, I progressed to Manager in 1999, Area Manager in 2008, and Operations Director in 2018. In 2026, I joined Kingsley Healthcare in my current role. With over 26 years in the sector, I have worked across care homes, domiciliary care, extra care, and assisted living, supporting adults from 18+. I am passionate about working with older people and believe in delivering the highest standards of person-centred care. I value strong teams, staff development, and ensuring both residents’ and staff voices are at the heart of daily practice.

David Hurcomb

Maintenance

After working for 30 years in the oil, gas & marine industries I was looking for a new career path, using some of the skills I have accumulated, working for Kingsley in the Maintenance position fits that perfectly. I have only recently joined the team at Yaxley House, but have found everyone to be so welcoming with an extremely high standard of care shown towards our residents as well as a fantastic team ethos. As most maintenance people, I seem to spend most of my free time at home, building or painting things!!

Wendy Mott

Regional Service Quality Manager

I have over 35 years of experience in the health and care sector, with the past two years dedicated to a quality role within elderly care. I am committed to ensuring that we provide the highest quality support to those under our care. Kingsley fosters a genuine family atmosphere, where everyone is friendly and supportive, all working towards a common goal. In my leisure time I enjoy gardening and walking and continue to discover hidden gems in the Norfolk and Suffolk counties.

Jonathan Ellis

Compliance and Service Quality Director

Before coming to Kingsley I was an inspector at the Care Quality Commission and, prior to that, my background as a manager and nurse included considerable experience in service development and quality delivery in the NHS. I admire Kingsley’s very person-centred approach to care and it is a pleasure for me to work with our dedicated home teams to achieve a Good CQC rating, at a minimum, in every one of our services.
