About the role

As a Mini Farm Coordinator, you will assume a pivotal role in the supervision and management of a mini farm within the setting of our care home. Your responsibilities encompass the creation of a therapeutic and inclusive environment, fostering opportunities for residents to participate in purposeful activities centred around farming, gardening, and animal care. In this capacity, you will take the lead in guaranteeing the safety and well-being of all residents as they access these areas, ensuring a welcoming and secure atmosphere. 

Reports to: Home Manager

This role could be for you if you have;

  • A background in agriculture, horticulture, or a related field.
  • Experience working with vulnerable adults, desirable
  • Strong organisational and planning skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of therapeutic approaches related to farming and nature-based activities.
  • A full valid UK driving licence; able to drive company vehicles with a trailer.
