A huge success out of a defeat for Kingsley’s cricketers

Great Witchingham Cricket Club were gracious in victory against an enthusiastic but rusty Kingsley Healthcare side!
It was a pleasure for Kingsley staff to share in the club’s end of season President’s Day celebration.
Kingsley’s great hope was Joe, a rising young star of the Great Witchingham Club who also happens to be a part-time support worker at Buckingham Lodge.
We wisely insisted on him playing for us and he certainly delivered, scoring freely in the first of two games organised on a similar format to The Hundred.
But there were also plenty of highlights provided by other Kingsley players, including some assured and powerful hitting by Ewan and Suranga and a spectacular catch by Dan, removing a Norfolk county player no less!
All in all, a highly successful and enjoyable afternoon in wonderful September sunshine.
Plans are already afoot for a return match (matches?) next season and, yes, this time Kingsley’s players will get in some practice beforehand.
There is even talk of Kingsley’s marketing and IT guru Darsh coming out of premature retirement!
