Allonsfield House nursing home celebrates glowing CQC report

Staff at Allonsfield House, in Campsea Ashe, near Woodbridge, are celebrating their care home’s glowing Care Quality Commission (CQC) report.
The Kingsley Healthcare run nursing home has been rated Good overall and Good in all five categories of Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and Well-led.
Home manager Bebe Lamichhane said: “We are thrilled to have received such a good report. It is a testament to all the hard work of my dedicated team.”
Allonsfield House, which supports 53 people with nursing, residential and dementia care needs, is the only care home in the UK with a rare breeds therapy farm attached.
Residents said they received person-centred care from knowledgeable and compassionate staff who treated them with dignity and respect.
They described the food as “top notch” and said it was a “happy home” and “warm and welcoming”.
One resident told inspectors: “I feel settled and content here. Staff are kind, they check on me and stop for a chat. There is always something going on.”
Residents’ relatives were equally complimentary, one commenting: “I think it is superb, staff are very friendly, surroundings nice, food looks fine.”
Another told the inspectors: “I love the staff, they are like family, any problems they sort them out.”
The report noted that there was a range of meaningful activities taking place alongside planned outings using the Kingsley Healthcare minibus.
The home manager Bebe was highly regarded by residents, relatives and staff, her leadership style being described as “hands on, supportive and highly visible”.
Feedback from professionals cited positive relationships with management and the staff team.
