Allotment project success at Kirkley Manor

An allotment project is in full swing at Kirkley Manor after a successful 2023 growing season. Residents have been sharing their knowledge on home-grown vegetables, reminiscing about past allotment projects of their own. We’ve been recycling old furniture into planters, most of which will be raised and accessible to everyone, and all handmade by our staff and residents under the skilful watch of our maintenance man Harvey. The kitchen is looking forward to fresh herbs on tap, and the residents are greatly looking forward to eventually making jams and chutneys from the fruits (and vegetables) of their labour.
