Brackley Care Home’s Burns Night party “one of our best yet”

The spirit of Robbie Burns was well and truly alive at Brackley Care Home  as we celebrated Scotland’s favourite son in spectacular style. We were thrilled to welcome a truly amazing piper, Tony Hurst, whose music provided the perfect, atmospheric backdrop for our festivities.

The afternoon was filled with the soul-stirring sounds of traditional Scottish tunes, echoing through the home and bringing a sense of heritage and joy to all in attendance.

Our highlights included :-

The Address to the Haggis: No Burns Night is complete without the theatrics! Our piper took centre stage to lead the "Address to the Haggis," delivering the ceremony with the passion and precision it deserves before we all had the chance to taste and savour some haggis!

Music for All: To ensure everyone could share in the magic, the piper performed a musical tour of our home, playing in each of our individual lounges.

A Personal Touch: In a deeply moving moment, the pipes were played for one of our families in a private performance—a bespoke tribute that created a truly lasting memory.

Stephanie Eley, Care Home Manager said: "The sound of the pipes always brings people together, but having them played right here in our lounges made the day feel incredibly personal and special for our residents."

It was an unforgettable celebration of culture, community, and song. We would like to extend a huge thank you to our piper for making this Burns Night one of our best yet!
