Heron Lodge care home residents enjoy Broads cruise

Residents from Heron Lodge care home, in Wroxham, took to the water on a Broads trip organised by disabled boating charity, The Nancy Oldfield Trust.
Four residents were joined by four staff members from the Kingsley Healthcare-run home for a cruise down Lime Kiln Dyke, in Neatishead, to the wide expanse of Barton Broad.
The charity Nancy Bee, specially adapted for people with disabilities, cruised through the broad and down the River Ant, past the picturesque Hunsett Mill towards Wayford Bridge.
Home manager Alison Lawrence said: “It was a wonderful outing that we will certainly do again. Our staff prepared lunch while the residents took in the views.
“The Trust’s staff gave us an excellent commentary on the different types of wildlife and plants. All thanks to our brilliant staff, and everyone at the Nancy Oldfield Trust, for making this trip possible.”
