Brooke House Care Home staff raise £750 for Cancer UK by tackling the Pretty Muddy 5K

Staff members from Brooke House Care Home, in Brooke Gardens, Brooke, raised nearly £750 for Cancer UK by tackling the challenging Pretty Muddy 5K at the Norfolk Showground.

Oana Lungun, manager of the Kingsley Healthcare home, was joined by deputy manager Charlotte Colderwood, senior support workers Hannah Betts and Kloe Wright, hospitality manager Sarah Harper and administrator Sophie Johnson. They tackled the course with enthusiasm, bright pink T‑shirts, and plenty of determination.

The event featured a series of muddy obstacles, including climbing sections, crawl‑through tunnels and slippery slides, all designed to test stamina, teamwork, and spirit.

Mrs Lungan said: “It was tough but really good fun. It was teamwork, goodwill and lots of smiles that got us through it. We are thrilled to have raised so much money for a very good cause.”

In August she will be taking part in a solo charity challenge when she walks a marathon (26.2 miles) around the north Norfolk coast in aid of Dementia UK.
