More than 40 people turned out to a care home’s anniversary garden party. Seven years ago, Spring Lodge in Woolverstone became part of the award-winning Kingsley Healthcare. The staff marked the mile- stone yesterday with a barbe- cue, live music and a charity draw raising money for Ormiston Families. The team also used the opportunity to welcome their new manager, Lisa Sheppard, who joined six weeks ago.
Mrs Sheppard said: “I’m a new manager in the post so it’s nice to meet people I haven’t met before.“It’s all gone very well, we just wish the weather was a bit warmer.”
Spring Lodge provides residential care for 46 people from the age of 58 to 98, most of whom are living with dementia.
