Christmas arrives with Festive Cheer for Timperley residents
Residents at Timperley Care Home, Mainwood Road, Timperley were delighted to welcome Mayor of Trafford, Jane Brophy and her husband Mr John Brophy as well as Father Steve from the Parish of Timperley, Christ Church and Holy Cross for their Christmas Fair.
The Mayor of Trafford, despite the bad weather, took great pleasure in officially switching on the home’s Christmas lights marking the start of the festive season and the countdown to Christmas. Timperley have created a magical Grotto to ensure that when Santa dropped in for a special visit he had somewhere to chat with children and find out what they wanted for Christmas.
A wonderful afternoon was enjoyed by everyone visiting the amazing stalls, with lots of delightful treats to buy and prizes to be won, thanks to the continued kindness and generosity shown by families, friends, and local businesses Everyone enjoyed a lovely glass of mulled wine or hot chocolate.
During the afternoon there was a fantastic performance from Cody Brooks who sang some classic songs for residents to sing-a-long to, including some Christmas tunes.
