Congrats to Jayne and team at Park Lane care home Congleton, Cheshire
Park Lane care home in Congleton has been recognised as Quality Champion for delivering Quality Improvements in an awards ceremony organised by Cheshire East Clinical Commissioning Group. The Kingsley Healthcare home was among more than 20 in the region which last year signed up to a pledge to work on raising service quality to new levels. Home manager Jayne O’Sullivan said: “We were up against all the homes in Cheshire East so this was a proud moment to win and it is a credit to the whole team at Park Lane.” She said it reflected the work they had carried out to improve the whole environment of the home through extensive refurbishment and the opening of a new bar, the Park Inn, which had proved popular with residents.
She said: “As well as improving the social environment we have also improved safety and reduced the number of falls in various ways, such as improving lighting and increasing staffing levels.” Ms. O’Sullivan collected her award from the CCG’s commissioning manager Julia Curtis. The home’s success comes in the wake of its triumph at last September’s Kingsley Care Awards where it took the prestigious Care Home of the Year title. Park Lane was also recognised as good in every category in its most recent Care Quality Commission report.
