Dementia specialist nurse joins Dorset homes
Noela Chituh is a dedicated mental health nurse with a rich and varied career in the field. She began her journey as a support worker in a mental health home for individuals transitioning from hospital care. It was in this setting that she first discovered her passion for helping those with mental health challenges. However, it was during her university placements that Noela truly found her calling, developing a deep affinity for working with the elderly and patients with dementia.
Her commitment to this field led to her first nursing position on a dementia ward, where she felt the impact of her work was both relevant and profoundly valuable. The sense of fulfilment she derived from making a difference as part of a dedicated nursing team solidified her dedication to this speciality.
Driven by a love for learning and teaching, Noela embraced the opportunity to delve into research. She spent the past few years as a research nurse, gaining invaluable insights and contributing to the advancement of mental health care. Despite enjoying this role, her passion for hands-on care and her desire to support individuals with dementia, their families, and carers never waned.
Noela is now eagerly anticipating her new role as the Admiral Nurse Clinical Lead at Kingsley Healthcare. She is excited about the opportunity to embed an effective service and make a genuine difference in the lives of those affected by dementia. Noela looks forward to leading a team dedicated to improving the quality of life for dementia patients, their carers, and their families, reaffirming her commitment to this vital field of nursing.
