Gower Gardens donates to the Bike Appeal
Gower Gardens had a visit from Richard who is an Engagement Consultation Officer for West Midlands Police.
Gower Gardens donated 2 brand new bikes, helmets and high-viz jackets to the Police for their Bike Appeal which were greatly received by the force.
Below is information of the appeal which they are asking for help from the general public:
West Midlands Police are holding a Bike Appeal and are asking for adult and children’s bikes, scooters, trikes that the public may have lying around, not being used or that their children have outgrown.
Any bikes, scooters and trikes can be donated to any Fire Station across the Dudley Borough which are being used as drop off points for members of the public.
The Road Safety Team from Dudley Council and some independent bike shops have come on board to do these bikes, trikes, scooters up and make them safe and road worthy.
West Midlands Police will then be donating the bikes, scooters and trikes to families who are struggling with the cost of living crisis and who would benefit from these.
The Police are looking to donate all items towards Christmas time so they can help the families in need as for many, this is an expensive time of year and any help we can give would be fantastic!
