Easter egg hunt at Lilac Lodge

lilacegg1

The free event will include face painting and glitter tattoos for children and music from the local shanty group, Lowestoft Longshoremen. The mobile petting zoo, Zoo-Tastic, will be paying a visit, enabling both visitors and residents to have a close-up encounter with a variety of animals. Free hot and cold drinks and cakes will be provided and there will be a raffle raising money for the residents’ fund. Residents at the Kingsley Healthcare run home were this week painting polystyrene eggs which will be hidden for the egg hunt; children will then be able to swap them for chocolate eggs.

Lilac Lodge manager Zena Stotter said: “Our Easter egg hunt is always a popular event and our residents love to invite families into their home and garden.” If the weather is fine, the egg hunt will take place in the beautiful garden of Lavender Cottage; if it is rainy, it will take place in the main house, Lilac Lodge.

Mrs. Stotter said: “The event will be free but there will be a donation box if anyone wants to support our residents’ fund which pays for extra activities and events.”
