International Women's Day at Eversley Lodge

Residents and staff at Eversley Lodge Nursing Home came together to celebrate International Women’s Day, honouring the incredible women who shape the life and spirit of the home every single day.

The day was a chance to reflect on the strength, wisdom and stories shared by the women who live at Eversley Lodge, many of whom have lived through remarkable moments in history and continue to inspire those around them.

Alongside them are the dedicated women who provide care and support within the home, building meaningful relationships with residents and creating a warm, welcoming environment where everyone feels valued.

Throughout the day, residents enjoyed spending time together in the home and gardens, sharing conversations, laughter and friendship. Simple moments — from enjoying the scent of lavender in the garden to chatting over a cup of tea — highlighted the strong sense of community that exists at Eversley Lodge.

This year’s International Women’s Day theme, “Give to Gain,” resonated strongly within the home. Staff and residents alike recognise that the kindness, time and support they give to one another helps create a place filled with warmth, companionship and purpose.
