King's Court Marks History with Time Capsules
Residents and staff at King’s Court were delighted to welcome Steffan Aquarone – North Norfolk M.P and Julie Alford B.E.M and Co-Founder of Holt Youth Project alongside young people supported by the project to assist in burying the home’s community time capsules.
The young people were invited to fill three time capsules which have since been buried in the grounds at the home to commemorate six months since King’s Court opened.
Julie said, “We are delighted to have been a part of this special collaboration and it has been really enjoyable for our young people to be involved too!”
The stamps, cards, artwork, newspaper articles and letters from the Holt Youth Project and the home’s residents certainly give a huge insight into what life is currently like in 2024 and the capsules also include Steffan Aquarone’s maiden speech to parliament on 15th October 2024.
Steff Aquarone said, "It was a real pleasure to visit King's Court Nursing Home to meet the brilliant residents and help them bury a wonderful time capsule. King's Court worked in collaboration with Holt Youth Project on the idea, and I was touched to be asked to play my small part.”
Customer Relations Manager Dan Amis added, “I know I speak for the whole team and our residents when I say a big thank you to Julie for all the amazing work of the Holt Youth Project and to Steffan for committing his speech and honouring this special occasion by helping bury the capsules too - it certainly has been a memorable day!”
