Kingsley Futures Programme Aims to Prepare Students for Life Beyond A-Levels

Kingsley Healthcare Group, one of the UK’s largest social care employers, is launching a new employability initiative designed to support teenagers across East Anglia as they prepare for life after education.

The programme, Kingsley Futures, is a fully funded, one-day employability experience hosted at the company’s head office, Kingsley House, on Clapham Road South in Lowestoft. It is designed to equip students with practical skills and insights to help them transition confidently from school or college into the world of work.

Raphaelle Thayan, Head of Philanthropy and Partnerships at Kingsley Healthcare, said: “We are one of the largest employers in East Anglia with deep roots in the local community, and we bring international experience in education, supporting three foundations in Sri Lanka and Colombia. The Kingsley Futures programme applies that experience locally, tailored to UK students and the realities of today’s job market.”

The day will feature talks from industry professionals alongside hands-on workshops focused on building strong CVs and preparing for interviews. A key highlight of the programme is the Kingsley Futures Challenge, a group exercise in which students will analyse a real-world case study and deliver a presentation in front of Kingsley professionals.

Raphaelle added: “Kingsley Philanthropy is extremely excited to bring this programme to life in 2026. We want every student to walk away feeling ready: ready for their first interview, ready for their next step into work, university, or an apprenticeship. This programme is about giving young people the confidence, the skills, and the clarity they need to take that step forward.”

The top two participants in the Kingsley Futures Challenge will be considered for a two-week work experience placement with Kingsley Healthcare. All students will receive a certificate of completion and a gift voucher.

Kingsley Healthcare CEO Daya Thayan said: “We are passionately committed to helping young people prepare for life after school and college. Unemployment rates among young adults remain stubbornly high across the UK, and this challenge is even more pronounced in East Coast communities like Lowestoft and Great Yarmouth.”

Students and schools can register their interest by visiting: https://kingsleyhealthcare.co.uk/kingsley-philanthropy/kingsley-futures/ and completing the online form.

In addition to initiatives like Kingsley Futures, Kingsley Healthcare offers structured apprenticeship programmes in areas such as accountancy and IT, as well as a wide range of career opportunities in social care.
