Kingsley Healthcare Wins Prestigious National Award for Second Consecutive Year
London, 9 June 2025 - Kingsley Healthcare Group is proud to announce that it has once again been named Residential Elderly Care Provider of the Year (Large Group) at the esteemed Health Investor Awards 2025, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on London’s Park Lane.
This is the second consecutive year Kingsley has secured the top accolade in the UK’s most prestigious care sector awards - a recognition that reflects the group’s ongoing commitment to excellence, compassion, and innovation in care.
Kingsley CEO Daya Thayan commented:
“To win this distinguished award two years running is an extraordinary achievement and a true testament to the dedication of our incredible colleagues. Their passion to deliver outstanding, personcentred care is what sets Kingsley apart. This recognition also underscores our steadfast commitment to lead with compassion, integrity, and innovation - values that helped us become the UK’s very first B Corp-certified large care home group earlier this year.”
Sumi Thayan, Co-Founder, added:
“As a family-run organisation with strong family values at our core, this award is a celebration of our people. It reflects the collective efforts of every team member, and we are proud of the supportive, nurturing environments we create for both residents and staff."
Representing the next generation of leadership, Executive Directors - Cameron and Ewan Thayan commented:
“As a family, we are committed to long-term investment in care. We are proud to serve diverse communities across the UK and have ambitious plans to expand our footprint while maintaining the personal, community-focused approach that defines Kingsley.”
Co-Chief Operating Officer Debbie McGovern highlighted the impact of Kingsley’s strategic growth:
“We are proud of our 26-year journey serving communities across the UK. Being recognised as a trusted provider of choice reflects our deep commitment to person-centred care and making a lasting difference in the lives of our residents and the communities we serve.”
This year’s award submission highlighted Kingsley Healthcare’s unwavering commitment to excellence as a proud family-run business, continuing to invest significantly in both existing homes and new, purpose-built luxury facilities. Central to the submission was the transformation of existing homes such as Queen Charlotte in Weymouth, where substantial capital investment has enabled the creation of premium environments that have become the care home of choice in their communities.
The judges also recognised Kingsley’s remarkable achievement in successfully commissioning four state-of-the-art care homes - King’s Court and Eversley Lodge in Norfolk, Olney Meadows in Buckinghamshire, and Sycamore Heights in Bedford – all delivered within an ambitious 14-month timeframe. These homes reflect the group’s vision of setting new benchmarks in luxury care provision.
The submission further showcased Kingsley’s continued investment in digital innovation, enabling more focused and personalised care, and emphasised the group’s expansion into specialist learning disability services. In addition, the launch of the Kingsley Training Academy was recognised for its role in shaping clear career pathways across the care sector - nurturing talent, empowering colleagues, and reinforcing our commitment to long-term sustainability and quality care.
Now celebrating its 26th year, Kingsley Healthcare is recognised not only for its operational excellence but also for its leadership in employee wellbeing. The group is a Real Living Wage employer with over 3,000 colleagues and holds the highest staff satisfaction scores on both Glassdoor and Indeed platform in the sector. It was also recognised as the UK’s #1 Work Wellbeing Employer in 2023.
Muj Malik, Chief Investment Officer, remarked:
“Our mission has always been to make a positive impact - for our people, our residents, and the communities we serve. Through investment in best-in-class facilities and the creation of meaningful local employment, we are proud to be building a sustainable and caring future.”
In addition to receiving the Residential Elderly Care Provider of the Year award, Kingsley Healthcare was also proud to sponsor the Bank/Lender of the Year category. Wasantha Darshana, Chief Digital and Innovation Officer, presented the award to Dasos Kirtsides, Head of Healthcare at Shawbrook Bank.
This repeat national recognition reaffirms Kingsley’s standing as a trailblazer in elderly care - committed to raising standards, nurturing people, and delivering a truly home-from-home experience for residents across the UK.
