At Kingsley Healthcare, our unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional, person-centred care remains at the heart of everything we do. We are dedicated to providing the highest standards of care for our residents, and we are proud to share an update on our ongoing journey to excellence.
Following an inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC) in June 2023, our service was rated as ‘Inadequate’ in two key areas-Safe and Well-Led. Since then, Kingsley Healthcare, alongside our dedicated team, has worked tirelessly to address every concern raised. With a new management team in place since August 2023, we have taken significant steps to transform our service, ensuring that every aspect of care meets and exceeds regulatory expectations.
Our comprehensive improvement plan has been meticulously executed, with each aspect of the inspection findings thoroughly reviewed, analysed, and actioned. We have strengthened our leadership, provided extensive training, and reinforced our commitment to excellence. This transformation has been led by our exceptional manager, Adeshola, and our dedicated staff, supported by our central team to ensure that all changes are sustained and embedded into daily practice at Downham Grange.
Our commitment has already been recognised in a recent Provider Assessment and Marketing Management Assessment, an inspection carried out by the Local Authority Quality Monitoring Team in Jan 2025, which carried out a thorough assessment and awarded us a ‘Good’ rating. This validation is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and passion of our team in delivering outstanding care.
Despite our continuous efforts and the strong support from our residents, families, staff, and legal representatives, we are still awaiting a reinspection from the CQC. We were assured that a follow-up inspection would take place early in the new year; however, three months have now passed, and we have yet to receive a visit from the regulator.
We believe that it is imperative for the CQC to act proactively and conduct an inspection that accurately reflects the significant improvements made. We continue to engage with the regulators on a weekly basis, urging them to assess our service based on its current performance and the high standards we uphold.
