Kingsley Home Care elfs spread their festive magic
Kingsley Home Care’s Lowestoft team gave more than a little elfing hand to organisers of a church-organised Christmas lunch.
Georgina Johnston, Kingsley Home Care’s Chief Operating Officer, summoned all her festive magic to supply Christmas dinners to nearly 40 pensioners at Trinity Methodist Church, in Park Road, Lowestoft.
The turkey dinners with all the trimmings, followed by Christmas pudding, were cooked at Kingsley Healthcare’s Kirkley Manor care home in the town.
Mrs Johnston transported the food with fellow elfs Hazel Pritchard, Kingsley Home Care’s Lowestoft Branch Manager and care coordinator Donna Moran.
Church treasurer Val Howlett said: “We are so grateful to the Kingsley Home Care team, they have been so generous.
“We have organised Christmas dinners in the past but we are all getting older and we were not going to do it this year until Georgina’s wife Jane came along to our Monday community coffee morning and suggested they could help.”
As well as supplying the lunch, the home care team has also donated more than 100 mince pies for a carol concert on Friday night 20th and oranges for a Christingle Service at the church on Christmas Eve.
Mrs Johnston said: “Kingsley Healthcare Group is a family owned company with family values and our home care and care home staff love supporting their local communities throughout the year.
“At Trinity Methodist Church we have also supported their nursery with equipment.”
