We are delighted to announce that construction work is under way on our latest next-generation care home development in a prime location in Holt, north Norfolk. In a partnership between two family businesses based in the region, leading national care provider Kingsley Healthcare has appointed Norfolk construction firm R G Carter to build the luxury nursing home.

Kingsley’s Chief Investment Officer Muj Malik joined R G Carter managing director James Carter on site in Hempstead Road to lay the first few bricks. Mr Malik said: “We are delighted to be working on our first project with R G Carter who bring the same values as a trusted family business in the region. “The Holt scheme is the latest in an exciting pipeline of next generation nursing homes being rolled out across the country as part of our Kingsley Vision 2025 growth strategy.”

Mr Carter said: “We are excited to be building a new care facility for Kingsley Healthcare in a project which sees the collaboration of two family businesses. Together Kingsley and R G Carter laid the first few bricks to mark our foundations for the future.“

When it opens in early 2024, the care home will provide more than 100 local jobs, from managers and nurses to support workers and maintenance staff.

The home will have 66 luxury en-suite bedrooms and fabulous facilities throughout, including a library, sumptuous cinema room, café and private dining room available for special occasions; it will be set in two acres of landscaped grounds including a beautiful sensory garden.

The project has been spearheaded by our nationally renowned project team, including Kingsley’s Design Director Rob Patkai, award-winning architects Condy Lofthouse and planning consultants Bidwells.

Mr Malik said: “This scheme has had a positive response from local stakeholders. It is important for us and our future residents that the home becomes a central part of the community."

“Kingsley has 23 years of presence in Norfolk and Suffolk and we are delighted to be delivering our next flagship home in Holt which embodies everything that is wonderful about north Norfolk.”

A spokesman for Holt Town Council has welcomed the project, saying it will provide much needed care for the elderly in our community, as well as creating many jobs for local people.

Daya Thayan, CEO of Kingsley, rated a top 20 large care home group by review site carehome.co.uk, said: “As well as striving to achieve new standards for elderly care with each successive development, it is always our goal to make a positive contribution to the local community.”

Design Director Rob Patkai said: “I am proud of the design which gives the highest priority to resident wellbeing and lifestyle. I am confident our home will be seen as the definition of luxury care.”

Kingsley has also reached the construction phase on projects to build a further 66-bedroom nursing home in Olney, Buckinghamshire and a boutique luxury care home in Bedford. Work will soon be under way on schemes to build a luxury nursing home in Great Yarmouth, Norfolk and a next generation care home in Weymouth, Dorset.
