Redwalls say a special thanks to local fundraisers

Redwalls Rob Mo 1

Redwalls Nursing Home in Sandiway, which is part of the Kingsley Healthcare group of homes, said a special thank you to local couple, Rob & Mo Murphy for their fundraising over the last 12 months on behalf of the home.

Rob’s dad, Bob, known as Bobo to family, was a resident at Redwalls until he sadly passed away in 2021. The couple were so pleased with the love and care their dad received during his time in the home that they wanted to do something to support the home so set about fundraising for the home.

Over the last 12 months alone, thanks to a number of fundraising activities they have undertaken on behalf of the home at different venues in the local area as well as a special Prize Bingo event held at the home as part of Care Home Open Week. Rob and Mo have raised an amazing £2,000 which brings the total raised since their dad away to £4,800 will is fantastic.

All the money raised is being put to good use by the home to provide lots more activities and events for the benefit of the residents, including trips to Chester Zoo and Blue Planet Aquarium, funds raised have also been used to purchase a Donut and Candy Floss Making machines and their kind donations also funded a range of Farm Animals visiting the home recently which provided excellent therapy for everyone in the home as well as children from Small World Nursery.

Pauline Parker-Moore, Regional Operations Director for Kingsley Healthcare said “We would like to thank Rob and Mo for all the support they have given to Redwalls Nursing Home and in particular for the considerable time they have given in raising £4,800 for the home which has already been put to good use for the benefit of residents.” She continued. “We hope that this wonderful link which has been created with yourself and all the team as Redwalls will continue for many years to come.”

Rob and Mo Murphy said “It is great to support Redwalls Nursing Home after the care and compassion all the team gave to dad.” They continued “Redwalls is a lovely home and we have enjoyed fundraising on behalf of the home and look forward to continuing supporting the home in years to come.”

Rob added “A special thanks needs to go to my wonderful wife Mo, who is very much the driving force behind all the fundraising we do, without her hard work and determination we would not have raised so much!”
