Love was in the air on Valentine's Day
At Four Oaks Care Home we believe that true love should be celebrated so, as part of our Valentine’s Day celebrations we reached out to the community to find a deserving couple, whose love has grown stronger through the years, full of wonderful memories, love and laughter, to invite them to enjoy a ‘romantic 3 course meal’ in the home.
From all the entries received, it was agreed that Anne & Eddie O’Neil were the most deserving couple, still devoted to each other after 63 wonderful years.
Anne, who is a regular visitor to Four Oaks, helping with the monthly church service. She is also the main Pastoral Assistant at St Mary’s in Partington, often the work she does is unseen but she has a huge heart and always goes out of her way to help and support others in the community. She was nominated by Rev Jane Mottram from St Mary’s.
Anne and Eddie, were delighted to celebrate Valentine’s Day with other couples in the home, enjoying a ‘romantic 3 course meal’ in a truly romantic setting, enjoying a lovely bottle of Bubbly, with romantic music playing, bringing back wonderful memories!
A wonderful afternoon with romantic music to bring back those lovely was enjoyed by all the couples who were all presented with a lovely bunch of red roses together with a delicious box of chocolates.
Anne said “We were surprised but delighted to be invited to the Valentine’s Day meal at Four Oaks” she continued. “It was lovely to see the love all the other couples had for each other and how much they obviously cared for each other. We had a wonderful afternoon. Thank you everyone involved.”
