Park Lane resident Betty, 103, braves the cold for outing

Although it was a cold day with flurries of snow, it didn't stop us having a run out in the car.

When Jackie offered to take Betty, who's 103 out, she jumped at the chance - on went the hat, coat, mittens and scarf!

We drove up to Mowcop, sat and looked over the Cheshire plain, before heading to Congleton Edge, where we met a couple of horses, which were happily munching away on a pile of hay...the cold weather didn't seem to bother them.

We stayed a while before heading back home as the sky looked like it was ready to snow.
