Partington residents celebrate British Science Week
Residents at Four Oaks recently had an amazing day at the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester.
The trip was arranged as part of British Science Week, which is a nationwide celebration of science, technology, engineering and maths, exploring people of all ages to explore and enjoy science. The Science and Industry Museum is one of Manchester’s most famous museums, showcasing the city’s important role in the Industrial Revolution and scientific innovation.
The museum was a perfect place to visit and provided a great opportunity to explore the fascinating world of science and discover some of Manchester’s rich industrial history, as well as giving residents the chance to try fun, interactive experiments, visit the old history wing and learn about some of the amazing inventions that helped shape the city.
After a fascinating morning of exploring everyone enjoyed a relaxing lunch with hot drinks, plenty of laughs and great conversation
Beryl, residents from Four Oaks said “What a wonderful trip, it has brought back so many fond memories. I remember getting the train into Manchester or Bury to enjoy a spot of shopping when I was younger.”
Another resident Margaret, said “What a lovely day we’ve had, I’ve really enjoyed exploring and learning about the history of Manchester.”
