Remembrance Service visit for Thorp Resident

A lovely morning of Reflection for resident Rosaline Meppern as she visited the Blenheim Memorial Site located in Watton for the Remembrance Day Service.

Located at the site is a recovered Propellor from a Blenheim R3800 plane which was shot down in Denmark 13th August 1940.

Thorp House residents made a wreath from their handprints to show their respects to the fallen including their own resident John Lister who served in the D Day Landings and lived at Thorp House untill he passed away aged 101.

Cake and Tea followed at the local Community Hub where new friends were met and memories shared.
