Spring Lodge residential home attended the Artichoke Collection Fashion Show
Gemma Dennis the Deputy Manager originally saw an advert looking for models for a local fashion show & thought I know some amazing ladies who would love to take part from our care home. So emailed the organisers, Jacqui Martin, and Norma Rook, & it just happens that Jacqui’s mother resides in Spring Lodge care home.
So joined forces & had a wonderful morning strutting on the catwalk. The two residents from Spring were Pat Thomas aged 80 said she had a “Lovely morning and loved the attention of being on the catwalk.” Kate Suckling aged 93 said, “I was over the moon & it made me feel young again!” Gemma Dennis the Deputy Manager said “We had a lovely pamper morning, with makeup, hairdressing & beautiful clothing.
Just because you are in a care home, fashion can still be very much part of who we are & make us all feel great! Our residents had a fabulous time & we will definitely be doing something like this again!”
