Staff at Park Lane care home in Congleton are celebrating after achieving a rating of 10 on the leading review site carehome.co.uk
The Kingsley Healthcare run home is one of only two in Cheshire and eight across the entire North West to reach a perfect score, based on the reviews of residents, their relatives and friends, and visiting health professionals.
Kingsley CEO Daya Thayan said: “We are so proud of all the staff whose passion and dedication has enabled Park Lane to become the first of our homes across the country to attain a rating of 10.
“It really is an incredible achievement and one achieved by only 64 other care homes in the UK.”
Park Lane manager Jayne O’Sullivan said: “I am fortunate to have such a wonderful staff team here as well as an amazing group of residents and relatives.
“We are thrilled to have achieved a rating of 10 and that is a credit to everyone – staff, residents and their families. We are such a close-knit home, really like one big family. It is even more extraordinary this has happened at such a difficult time. We had to stop family visits for three months to protect our residents from the virus but everyone has been very supportive and understanding.”
She said she was touched by the glowing carehome.co.uk reviews that showed how much everyone thought of Park Lane and its staff.
In one of the most recent reviews, a resident’s daughter says: “All the staff are amazing, caring compassionate people. They have been 100pc Covid free throughout the whole pandemic and that is due to the hard work of all the staff.
“We have come to think of all the staff at Park Lane like family, they love and care for my mum like she was theirs.” Another reviewer says: “It feels like you are walking into someone’s own home, not a care home.”
“I have never seen such a group of caring, brilliant, fabulous and amazing carers anywhere,” says a relative in a further review tribute.
