Swaffham House team extend cakes of friendship
The residents at Swaffham House Care Home know just how good the cakes are that are baked by their chefs Bob and Sophie.
So when Swaffham Town Council organised a Macmillan Coffee Morning, home manager Whitney Chappell thought it would be a great idea to let the wider community taste them.
Regional Customer Relations Manager Marcia Hughes, who has been working closely with Swaffham House since Kingsley acquired the home in March, took along some delicious cupcakes baked by Sophie.
Marcia said: “Being closely involved with the community is important to all our homes and we want Swaffham House to play an active part in the town and the wider area of The Brecks.
“Everyone loved the cakes so we hope people will attend our community events at Swaffham House in the future to try some more.”
The town’s four-legged residents were also catered for with dog treats, made by Cllr Jen Mender, on the menu.
The event at the town hall raised £350 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
