Timperley residents' artistic tribute

bee4

The Manchester bee has long been a symbol of the city, representing its industrious spirit and unity. However, it took on an even more poignant significance following the tragic events of the Manchester Arena bombing on May 22, 2017. This symbol became a powerful emblem of resilience and remembrance for the victims of that devastating attack.

As we celebrate World Bee Day, it's important to recognize that in Manchester, the bee is not only a symbol of nature but also of the city's heritage as a "working bee town." This emblem highlights Manchester's industrial past and present, symbolising the hard work and community spirit of its residents.
To honour the memory of those lost and affected by the bombing, residents of the Timperley Care Home participated in a touching tribute. They painted and decorated pebbles with the iconic Manchester bee. This act of remembrance not only commemorated the lives lost but also demonstrated the community's enduring solidarity and strength in the face of adversity.
