The nurses at Highcliffe Nursing Home enjoyed a double celebration on Tuesday
Congratulations Bini, join our team! The nurses at Highcliffe Nursing Home enjoyed a double celebration on Tuesday. For as well as receiving the acclaim of colleagues on International Nurses Day they also welcomed Bini Daniel into their ranks after learning she had qualified as a nurse.
Mrs Daniel, 39, had been a nurse and midwife in India before she came to England with her husband Bibin more than 10 years ago. Now settled in New Milton, Hampshire, with their two daughters, aged 10 and three, she and her husband have both been working at Kingsley Healthcare-run Highcliffe Nursing Home as senior carers. She said: “After my youngest daughter was born I thought it was time for me to do the necessary work to gain my nurse’s pin in England.
” Mrs Daniel said she was committed to doing further study – she has already achieved NVQ level four in health and social care and leadership and management – and ultimately wants to specialise in one area of nursing, possibly dementia or cardiac. Tracey Millar, manager of the home in Stuart Road, Highcliffe, said: “I am very proud of Bini and had no hesitation in welcoming her to our team of nurses. “It’s amazing how she managed to study to achieve her pin while working full-time with two young children. That takes a lot of dedication.” CAPTION: Highcliffe’s team of nurses:
