There was a sticky ending for two members of staff at Highcliffe Nursing Home – but it was worth it for charity

There was a sticky ending for two members of staff at Highcliffe Nursing Home – but it was worth it for charity. Activities coordinator Sue Morris and domestic Karen Tomkins donned baby outfits, complete with nappies, and sat in a bath of jelly for three hours in a sponsored stunt that raised £520 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

The bath, kindly supplied by local plumber Barry Middleton, was placed in the garden of the home in Stuart Road. Accompanying entertainment was provided by vintage singer Retro Rita. Tracey Millar, manager of the Kingsley Healthcare-run home, said: “Lots of families and friends joined in the fun.”
