VE Day Celebrations at Timperley!

we marked 80 years since VE Day with a meaningful and heartfelt afternoon, shared with our residents, their families, and friends.
We began with a minute of silence and a prayer led by Father Steve from the Parish of Timperley, Christ Church and Holy Cross - a touching and emotional start, especially for those with memories of the time. It was particularly moving for John, who served in the RAF.
Our display featured wartime replicas, photographs, and memorabilia that helped bring history to life. The flags were waving, and although the weather was a bit grey, the atmosphere was warm and full of connection.
We had a lovely street party feel, with music from the era filling the air — classic wartime songs that added to the spirit of remembrance and celebration.
Thank you to all who joined us and helped make the 80th anniversary a truly meaningful and memorable occasion.
