Lilac Lodge and Lavender Cottage has the calm, warm atmosphere you would expect in a home run by an established and highly experienced staff team proud of the CQC good rating they have retained for several years. Lilac Lodge has been thoughtfully extended and has a conservatory and courtyard with sensory gardens. There are a variety of bright, airy rooms, including a comfortable lounge, dining room and beauty room. Residents can enjoy a garden, which has won In Bloom awards, as well as a patio area. Facing Lilac Lodge, in Gorleston Road, is Lavender Cottage, a homely bungalow with accommodation for eight residents. Lavender’s beautiful lawned garden is a popular place for community events including summer fetes and Easter egg hunts.
The décor and furniture have been carefully selected to create a cheerful but relaxed atmosphere that residents and their families love. Activities are at the heart of life in the home and our wellbeing coordinators ensure there is always plenty to do throughout the day. We enjoy close contact with the community in Oulton Broad and invite the public to several popular events each year.
Meal times are always an enjoyable social occasion at Lilac Lodge. A loss of appetite in older people is not uncommon so selecting the right ingredients and menu choices is vital. Our chefs use fresh, often locally sourced ingredients, and our menus are designed to provide both variety and the right balance of nutrients. We always listen to our residents and make sure we give them what they like to eat. Our kitchen team is renowned for excelling itself on special occasions, from baking delicious birthday cakes to preparing fantastic feasts for celebrations such as Christmas and Valentine’s Day.
