Daily life at Redwalls
Redwalls is a historic building that’s intrinsic to the local village. Staff and residents stay engaged with the local community, helping create a real sense of home. The house offers space to relax, as in the airy conservatory where residents can sit peacefully and watch birds flitting in and out of the landscaped gardens. The homely lounge offers a place for them to meet and chat, while the grand dining room is a spot to come together and enjoy meals. Our menu is managed by hospitality manager Ali Guenaoui, a professional restaurateur who wishes to bring quality food to care homes. Ingredients are sourced locally.
Seasonal events celebrate big occasions, from Valentine’s Day to Bonfire Night. Whether it’s high tea or a Christmas wreath crafting workshop, at Redwalls, we keep our residents busy with first-class entertainment. Plus, we love nothing more than getting our residents out to take in the afternoon sun in our gardens or further afield to spot the monkeys at Chester Zoo.
Mealtimes at Redwalls
The Redwalls menu is created by our Head Chef Sharon Johnson. Before coming to our home, Sharon cooked for two US presidents, so it’s safe to say her dishes are sure to impress. Dishes use locally sourced, seasonal ingredients that are packed full of nutrients, and, of course, we cater to our resident’s favourite meals and desserts.
Mealtimes at Redwalls are flexible. Residents can choose when to eat breakfast, lunch and dinner. We provide a Night Bites menu for those who like a snack before bed. Friends and family are welcome to join residents for lunch or dinner in our airy dining room.
