Brothers Rupert, eight, and Oliver Drake, 12, helped Marcia Hughes, wellbeing coordinator at Thorp House nursing home, in Griston, spread a little kindness around the community by delivering gift bags containing gladioli bulbs, sweets, notepads and pencils.

The brothers who live in the neighbouring village of Caston and attend Culford School, near Bury St Edmunds, were joined by their mum Rachel, who said: "It has been lovely as we have made people's day."

Mrs Hughes said: “We have received so much support from the community during the lockdown we wanted to lift spirits with some random acts of kindness. We thought bulbs would bring some Spring cheer to everyone. I would like to say a big thank you to Rupert, Oliver and their mum for helping me.”
