Brackley Care Home choir members were invited to attend a Right Royal Picnic at Winchester House School to celebrate the Platinum Jubilee.
They were treated to a delicious spread of coronation chicken, prawn cocktail pots, Victoria sponge and many other traditional picnic delicacies.
They were entertained with delightful displays from the different age groups within the school who each chose a Commonwealth country to showcase and performed either a song / poem / dance routine particular to their country of choice.
The Winchester House staff band performed many traditional songs and the choir members all had a chance to join in and sing along to the familiar songs that they have been practising for many months.
Our thanks and appreciation go to Antonia Lee, Head of Winchester House School and staff of Winchester House School as well as to the inimitable Emma McGowan who facilitates the weekly Dementia Friendly Choir for hosting us.
