ESG and Corporate Responsibility

As a leading national adult social care provider, we are committed to investing in the communities that are most in need of our facilities and we are dedicated to doing so in an ethical and sustainable manner. Our values of kindness, compassion and empathy underpin all aspects of our business and we are proud to say that our ESG initiatives reflect these values.

In the Environmental space, we are committed to reducing our carbon footprint and promoting a more thoughtful approach to our organisation’s core activities.

reducing our carbon footprint

We are actively working to reduce our energy consumption, improve our waste management and increase our use of renewable energy sources.  We are also investing in modern purpose-built properties that are designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly, while reconfiguring our existing properties so as to enhance their impact credentials.

Our commitment to our Corporate Social Responsibility is at the very core of our business.

Kingsley is a Real Living Wage employer and we are pleased to create local employment opportunities across the many communities we serve.  We provide our staff with the best possible training and support via our Kingsley Training Academy programmes.  To help them navigate their way through this challenging economic environment, meanwhile, we also offer our colleagues ready access to financial, medical and wellbeing resources.

We are very proud of the work undertaken by our own private charitable foundations, both of which are registered in the UK and funded solely by us and our founders but operate with a wider geographical mandate.

The Lotus Foundation focuses on initiatives in the critical areas of education, healthcare and community welfare and it is operational in the UK, Sri Lanka, Columbia, India and Spain.  The Kingsley Foundation concentrates on providing much-needed support to our staff, both past and present, and their families.

We have built our business on a stable and comprehensive Governance platform, which sees us conducting our activities so as to align with the highest ethical standards.

We value transparency throughout our operational dealings with internal and external stakeholders, implementing our robust corporate governance policies in a dedicated manner.  We are committed to maintaining the highest levels of integrity across all our services and we believe this approach is critical to the further building of trust among our stakeholder groups.

We do not regard our ESG responsibilities as simply being about meeting obligations or expectations.  Instead, we believe that by investing in these areas we can create real value for our stakeholders.
