Glenys Goldsby’s 20 years of service at Kirkley Manor care home in Lowestoft was marked with a special presentation

During a celebration lunch at Kingsley’s headquarters in the town’s School Road, Mr Thayan paid tribute to the support worker’s long service – “quite an achievement in this day and age” and presented her with champagne, flowers and vouchers. He said that as well as her role as a carer she had carried out HR and training duties during Kingsley’s early years.

Mrs Goldsby, 61, who has a son Jon, 36, and two grandchildren, Marcus, six, and Sasha, five, was modest about her long service landmark. She said: “I am there for the residents, that’s the reason I keep coming back.” Kirkley Manor deputy manager Lavinia Carauleanu described Glenys, who lives in nearby Kirkley Run, as “always positive”. “She always comes to work with a smile on her face and has a laugh every day,” she said.
