Dementia Care

This specialised care is aimed specifically at our residents who may be struggling with the challenging effects of dementia. Dementia is a group of symptoms that affects cognitive abilities such as thinking and memory and can interfere with everyday activities and quality of life.

What is dementia care?

SFP Kingsley Depperhaugh 74

Dementia care is offered on a permanent or respite basis. Someone with dementia will need more support and compassionate care as their condition progresses, and their family may feel that professional help from a care home is required. Carers can also take time away from their regular caring roles by using our ‘day care’ option.

We understand how devastating dementia can be for the person suffering from it and their family. That is why our dementia care allows our residents to live a full life, with all the dignity, determination, and devoted treatment they deserve. From home-from-home environments to compassionate and highly skilled staff to everyday activities and even our carefully chosen menus, we are passionate about providing our residents with the personal touch they need to thrive.

Benefits of dementia care?

Our dedicated dementia care and wellbeing team combine cutting-edge research with specialist support and a strategic focus. Our residents with dementia, their families and wider support network, will receive tailored dementia care suited to their individual needs.

Our team receives the highest quality training on a comprehensive range of essential components, all geared towards creating the very best environment and experiences for each of our residents living with this difficult condition.

Our dementia care homes with dedicated dementia units feature comforting and familiar design elements. These are all carefully collated to provide our residents with the tools to navigate what is often a bewildering and ever-changing new world with confidence, calmness, and renewed joy and enthusiasm.
