Togetherness

Kingsley care homes promote a family-like atmosphere; this means that the daily life within the homes is shared, and all support each other. This creates a close-knitted work/living environment.

Dining together

Our care staff members dine with the residents, creating a friendly atmosphere. Mealtimes always create a buzz around the homes, and the beautifully decorated dining rooms are a hive of activity. We encourage our residents to eat together, but should they wish to have their meal in the comfort of their room, they are welcome to choose. To promote our luxury care, we understand that what you eat is important to your physical and mental wellbeing. So, while we wholeheartedly believe in healthy, balanced, and homemade food, we also have a soft spot for traditional favourites.

Family and friends are always encouraged to join you for a meal, and they’ll receive a warm welcome from the Kingsley staff.

All our home kitchens have dedicated catering teams who produce tasty home-cooked food and will always consider your tastes. We take training and cleanliness very seriously, and all the staff have achieved their food standard qualifications.

We serve three main meals daily and snacks as and when our residents wish. Late-night snacks are available for those who enjoy a late-night nibble. You’ll always have a choice when it comes to mealtimes, they are flexible, and the menu changes regularly; our chefs will always talk to you to discover what you’d like to eat. We also cater for any of our residents’ dietary requirements.

Days out together

SFP Kingsley Allonsfield 72

Our activities are imaginative and varied; every resident is encouraged to participate in daily pursuits, including painting, cooking, or simply enjoying a visit from a local school or entertainer. Luxury picnics in those homes with extensive grounds are always a welcome treat. It really is up to you whether or not you wish to join in.

Along with the more routine activities within the home, staff will try to discover your passions and will put together activities to reflect these. Most of our residential homes have a specialist activities coordinator who will engage with you. Some residents like to grow their own vegetables, some enjoy visiting the local shops and cafés, whilst others knit and enjoy watching films; many residential homes have their own purpose-built cinemas. All group activities are, of course, optional, and it is down to the individual resident to choose whether they want to be involved.

We’re proud of our range of activities, and the residents always enjoy this interaction. Across all the Kingsley homes, we’ve welcomed local school choirs singing Christmas carols, magicians, an Elvis impersonator and popular therapy pets. Residents take part in everything from yoga and armchair exercises to indoor bowling and balloon tennis. Every Kingsley care home has its own Facebook page where you can see what we get up to.

We also arrange, with residents, outings to places of interest. Whenever possible, we try to keep the residents engaged with the local community. We will also help residents fulfil any religious or spiritual needs, and we work closely with the local community to ensure residents have access to all that is available to them.

“Our care staff members dine with the residents, which creates a very friendly atmosphere.”
