Kingsley Heroes Day pays tribute to staff’s amazing work during pandemic
Kingsley Healthcare paid tribute to the amazing response of its care workers during the pandemic by organising a Kingsley Heroes Day.
A day of surprises included special buffet meals at every Kingsley care home across England, staff gifts and recorded messages of thanks from celebrities including actor and comedian John Cleese, Olympian Nicola Adams and ex-footballer Michael Owen.
Kingsley CEO Daya Thayan and his head office team, based in Lowestoft, linked up with every home via Zoom to express their personal thanks.
Mr Thayan told staff: “In a year that could not have been more difficult emotionally and physically, you have selflessly stepped up to every challenge and truly surpassed yourselves.
“Today, Kingsley Heroes Day, is your moment in the limelight. We celebrate your hard work.”
Staff at many home homes, including Brooke House near Norwich and Thorp House, in Griston, near Watton, came in fancy dress for the celebration.
