20 years of service honoured at Kirkley Manor for two staff

leaving

Two colleagues at Kirkley Manor nursing home, in Kirkley Park Road, Lowestoft were surprised with gifts on Wednesday <31.1> to mark their achievement in reaching 20 years’ service. Yogi Mattey, 56, of Yeovil Road, Lowestoft and Annette Wilkins, 49, of Hall Road, Oulton Broad, both started as support workers at the same time in 1998. They both agree that it is the teamwork and friendships developed with other staff that has kept them going.

“You have good days and bad days like in any job, but it’s the relationships you build that makes it all worthwhile,” said Mrs Wilkins. In presenting flowers and other gifts, including vouchers, chocolates, champagne and flowers, Gary Foley, manager of the Kingsley Healthcare run home, said: “I would like to say a big thank-you to both of you. “You have not just worked here for 20 years, you have done a fantastic job for 20 years.”
