Brackley Care Home staff support Alzheimer's Society on Memory Walk

brackley memory walk

Brackley Care Home manager Sheena Croston and two staff members took part in Alzheimer’s Society’s Memory Walk on Saturday raising £165 for the charity through sponsorship.

Starting from the nursing home, in Wellington Road, they completed an 8km loop around the town going past Winchester House School whose pupils had sent them Good Luck posters.

On their return to the home they were rewarded with eggs and bacon and sausage sandwiches.

Customer relations manager Julie Wilson, who joined the walk, said: “One of the units in our home is named the Sir Tom Moore Suite so we could not have had greater inspiration.

“When we passed the gates of Winchester House school we were cheered on by staff and pupils.”

The third member of the fund-raising team was nurse Anita Foldi-Piontkovska who brought along her French bulldog Jobo.
