Congratulations to Downham Grange on Christmas cake competition victory

Congratulations to the team at Downham Grange Nursing Home, in Downham Market, Norfolk, who are the winners of our Kingsley Christmas Cake Competition!

The imaginative design and beautiful finish caught the eye of our judges, operations directors Sumi Thayan and Debbie McGovern.

Four Oaks Nursing Home, in Manchester, was the runner-up in a closely fought contest.

Debbie said: “We have to congratulate all our homes for an amazing effort. The standard this year surpassed anything we have seen previously.  It was really tough choosing a winner.

“It demonstrates the incredible skill of our catering teams and their passion for delivering the best meal-time experience for our residents.”

Downham Grange wins £200 for its residents’ fund to be spent on extra activities and Four Oaks wins £100 for the residents’ fund.
