Free Halloween themed event at Lilac Lodge

lilac halloween

Local families are invited to join residents and staff for an early Halloween celebration with a variety of fun activities, including apple bobbing, a spooky lucky dip and a pumpkin hunt. A balloon modeller will be on hand to entertain youngsters. There will be free refreshments available, including homemade cakes; a prize will be given out for the “best dressed little monster”.

Lilac’s activities coordinator Claire Garrod said: “It’s important for our residents to feel part of their community so it’s great to invite people in for fun events like this.” This week, residents have been busy carving pumpkins in preparation for the event. Manager Zena Stotter said: “People will be able to look around the home and I’ll be happy to answer any questions about care and the services we offer.” Donations will be taken for the residents’ fund which pays for extra activities and outings.
