Our new manager at Redwalls Nursing Home, TJ Adamson, brings an impressive skill set and reassuring experience to the role.
In 2006, at the age of 18, he became the youngest care manager in the UK at a residential home in Southport, Merseyside, which was subsequently awarded a rating of outstanding for care by the Care Quality Commission.
And in 2016, after successfully completing his nurse training, he rose from deputy manager to care manager at Thornton Manor Nursing Home, in Chester, taking the home from an inadequate rating to a good with CQC.
The home became recognised for its innovative ways of supporting people with dementia, reducing levels of challenging behaviour through natural means, such as reflexology and massage, rather than medication.
He said: “I am now looking forward to beginning the next chapter of my story at Redwalls.
“I’m always happy to make time for residents’ families should they want to discuss anything with me and I am very interested in any feedback.
“I will be working closely with my deputy manager Mary who families already know very well.”
