Meet Our Manager
I started my career in IT in 2000 and shortly after changed to healthcare. I started working in a care home in April 2006 progressing to senior care assistant before commencing my nursing in 2011. I have worked in acute hospital settings post qualification prior to joining community nursing. I joined Thorp House in 2017 as a Staff Nurse, progressing on to Deputy Manager before becoming Home Manager in August 2019. Thorp House is located in a small village Griston. We provide outstanding care in nursing, residential and dementia care. I enjoy working with our highly trained nurses, support workers and other supporting staff.
Meet Our Team
My Career in Healthcare began in 2014 as a newly qualified staff nurse in a specialist Cardio / Thoracic Hospital. I progressed to become a specialist Cardio / Thoracic nurse where I was in charge of a Surgical Ward and High Dependency Unit. In January 2018 I joined Kingsley Healthcare as a staff nurse at Thorp House Nursing Home. This position was very different from my previous job but was very fulfilling as I had the time to deliver person centred care to the residents who have become like a second family to me. I became the Deputy Manager at Thorp House in August 2019 where I support the home manager in the daily running of the home making sure that the team are delivering high quality care with compassion and empathy ensuring the needs of the residents are met and their quality of life is enhanced.

I came to Thorp in 2011 as a cleaner and have worked my way up to a senior. I fell in love with delivering person centred care to the most vulnerable of people. I love to make their lives more comfortable and to make a difference in their day.
