About the role

As a Head Housekeeper, you will be planning and supervising all domestic, laundry and housekeeping duties required in looking after our residents and staff on a daily basis. It will be your role to ensure that our home is cleaned and maintained to the highest standards, and that our domestic, laundry, and housekeeping complies with the latest Health & Safety and COSHH standards.

Reports to: Home Manager/Regional Hospitality and Lifestyle Manager

Skills and attributes

• Proven experience in a housekeeping role, preferably in a healthcare or senior living environment.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of staff members.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to prioritise tasks and manage time effectively.
• Knowledge of infection control principles and practices, including proper cleaning techniques and use of personal protective equipment.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Physical stamina and dexterity to perform cleaning tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements
