Residents enjoy first trips on new minibus

Residents at our homes in East Anglia have enjoyed getting out on their new Renault Master SL35 minibus.

The vehicle is being shared by Kingsley’s homes in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex who are able to book it, along with the services of driver Fred Hill, for local outings.

The first home to benefit was Hadleigh Nursing Home with residents enjoying a trip into the town centre to enjoy its cafes and coffee shops.

Driver Fred said: “The residents were so happy in different surroundings, it made for a really good day. One man was so over the moon he just couldn’t stop thanking me. It really brought a lump to my throat.”

The minibus was equally a massive hit with the residents of Brooke House, near Norwich, who enjoyed an outing to the seaside at Gorleston.

Brooke House manager Chantelle said: “Feedback from families was fantastic. The daughter of one of our residents came to see him after the trip and said she hasn’t seen her dad this happy in a very long time.”
